Oregon Part 6

After family photos we headed out for a drive and found yet another great beach. We drove by it at first because there were way too many cars and people. Then we decided it must be a pretty cool place if that many people were there. Turns out, all those people were right. It was really cool. We explored then played on the HUGE sand dunes...........I could have built a sand castle with the sand I found in the pockets when we got home and I went to do laundry!

It was such a fun trip. So glad most everyone was able to make it. So glad the Johnson's are back from Germany so we can make more and more memories!!!

Oregon Family Pictures

Saturday we got up and threw together what matching clothes we had and took some family photos.

Lisa, Dan, Scott, Mary, David, Mike, Brian and Amy.......Scott's mom and dad and all the siblings. So fun that everyone could make it!

David and Mary will all of their grandkids minus Ryan (who was at soccer camp) and Jane (who was sleeping). I'd say they have some pretty cute grandchildren!!!!!!

Oregon Part 5

Finally getting around to finishing up Oregon trip! Friday we drove to do a few different hikes. It was really overcast this day, but we ventured out anyway! 

I can't remember all the details, but I do remember this tree was really old :-)!

Later that day we got to celebrate the rest of the August birthdays........Foster and Molly. It was so cute that everyone remembered them even almost a month before their birthdays!

Oregon Part 4

Thursday we got up and headed over to a fish farm for minute to let the kids feed the fish. Then headed to a few cool beaches. This was the day we decided to drive up north and find some beaches we've heard about, see which one is best and make camp for the day and evening. We stopped off at the first beach. It was cool, but pretty crowded and about 1/2 mile hike in from the road. That wasn't appealing to have to bring all the coolers and stuff in. So we drove up to the next beach, Hug Point, and it was perfect. Parking lot was right on the beach, a few stairs down and you were in the sand. There was a great big rock that blocked the wind. So we brought in all our stuff, changed the kids into their swimsuits and set up camp.

When the tide went out, we went around the big rock and found a great place to explore. This little stream was flowing right to the ocean. It was gorgeous!

We even found all these star fish! So cool!!!!

The sunset was gorgeous. Played a little wiffle ball, roasted hot dogs and made smores. Then the Walton's sang some of their childhood songs sitting around the campfire. It was a great day!!!!!
