Just another Day in Paradise
On Tuesday, July 15, sister, Becky and her girls: Kennedy and Kassidy, Mom: Marilyn, niece: Mykelti and Scott, Molly and I all went back to Temple Square. Becky's girls have never been and were very intrigued when driving by. So, we headed up for a few hours to look around. It was more fun having other people there.

The week Scott had to work, Molly and I went to Heritage Park and the Zoo with Lisa and her kids and in-laws. Thanks for letting us tag along.

Molly loved Katie holding her at the zoo. I asked if I could bring Katie home with us.......guess she decided no.

I love this guy with all of my heart! We'll post some more photos later, but right now I am needed by our almost 2 year old and what she says goes!

Temple Square
Scott worked from SLC federal office for 4 days of our trip to UT/WY. Monday night we stayed in a hotel right downtown. Tuesday, he got up and walked 2 blocks to work. Molly and I hung out in the hotel for a bit then drove over to Temple Square to hang out ALL day. We met Scott for lunch in between our day there, then when Molly finally pooped out, we got in the car and 2 blocks later she was asleep. So, we drove to a huge park, found shade and parked there while she napped. Then we played at the park for a bit then picked Scott up from work and met some of his college buddies for dinner in Park City. It was a long, but fun day.

Cooling down from the heat
One of the very few shots of her looking at the camera and not the water. Don't mind the crooked photo, I was trying to bend down with a 7 mo pregnant stomach in a skirt. Wasn't easy.

Molly loved this spot. She was really excited about seeing the "statue of Jesus". It was a great experience being there with her, even though she won't remember any of it.
July 7th BBQ
Scott's family is a bit like mine in that anytime you have family in town, it calls for a BBQ. Scott's aunt and uncle live in Saratoga Springs, UT and they have a daughter who lives near them. So we planned for a little get together at their place on Monday evening. We enjoyed a nice swim in the community pool that day (it is warmed by natural warm springs). The temperature of the pool was 93 degrees (I think). So it wasn't so refreshing from the heat, but felt good when you got out. After swimming, we headed up to Scott's cousins house where we ate and talked. Molly loved the sand by the playhouse. She even tried eating it, as manifested by the photo below. Their dog was friendly, thank goodness, because Molly wouldn't stop chasing it around and giving it "big hugs".

July 6th
Our real reason for driving out to Utah was for Scott's neice's baptism. Although we don't have any photos of the actual baptism, here are some of us that evening at the grandparents home in Sandy. Lisa's inlaws were great to have us all join in on the family fun and were very welcoming.
4th of July BBQ
Our afternoon of the 4th was spent at Scott's sister, Lisa's, in-laws. They had a great back yard for the kids to play lots of water activities. They were great to host all of us! We could see all across the valley for the fireworks that night. Best part was not having to fight the enormous crowds. Molly quite enjoyed the sparklers (even tried touching the sparks) and the fireworks.

Loved the baby pool!
Molly would swing ALL day if someone would push her that long! Big fan of swings!

4th of July
We had a great 4th of July. We drove out to Provo July 3rd and spent the weekend with Scott's mom, dad, sister Lisa and family and sister Amy. Thanks to Scott's aunt and uncle for letting us crash at their place. It was a great weekend! Friday, Scott and I got up and ran the Freedom Run 5K. We crossed the finish line together (this time, Scott has a tendancy to speed up the last few steps to beat me in the two races we have ran together) with a time of 27:59. Our goal was somewhere in the 28 minutes, so we beat our goal. We don't have any photos with our camera of our race, but you can check Amy's blog for the finished couple. Molly went with Grandma and Grandpa and Amy to watch the hot air balloons which we were told she quite enjoyed. Then we went to the parade for a bit. Thank goodness for the cloud coverage for most of the time.......otherwise, we might have ended up in puddles on the road due to the melting point temperatures.
