These are a few of my Favorite things....

Fos has taken a loving to tools, just like his daddy. If you ever want to cheer him up, give him a hammer or a drill or a saw or whatever "real" tool you can find and he will turn that frown upside down into a smile! HE LOVES TOOL!

Fall

What I LOVE about Fall:
1. Perfect temperatures
2. Fresh tilled gardens (and a husband who tills it)
3. Raking leaves into big piles to jump in
4. Being done canning and having shelves stocked with canned goods fresh from our garden
5. Leaves changing colors
6. Fall treats (i.e. candy corn, pumpkin bars, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, caramel apples)
7. Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner (quality family time)

Even though our yard looks nothing like this now (because of the white snow covering the green grass) I still wanted to post about Fall. I love Fall. I love so many things about it. I love the beauty of the earth that our Heavenly Father has created and the seasons so we can appreciate the differences. I love my eyes so that I can behold the beauty. I love the smells of fall both inside and out of the house. Fall is great!

He's not mischievous

Cutie Patootie

What a wonderful husband I have to do this dirty, muscle building work. Every year he does it twice (once before we plant and once after pulling out the garden). Thanks Scott for saving my back!

Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?

Our festive Halloween decorations

Preschool Halloween

Molly's preschool had a little Halloween party and the parents got to come see a little program at the end of the day. This was the only picture I took of her dressed up for Halloween :( She is quite our little princess.

Pumpkin Carving

Our traditional pumpkin carving took place the Monday before Halloween. The kids were halarious about putting their hands in and touching the pumpkin guts. We eventually forced them to at least touch it and then they couldn't get enough!

Caramel Apples

I wanted to get all these pictures posted before the holiday season comes and I am wayyyyy behind. We had Ted and Jamie's kids for a weekend and tried having fun things for them to do. One night we made caramel apples and had the kids decorate them. And after they are decorated, who can resist eating them? These were really yummy!

Another Princess Party

These two really can't get enough Princess partying. Some YW in our ward had auctioned off a Princess Party and of course, these two princesses went. They had so much fun and LOVED getting to dress up again!

Pumpkin Patch #2

The week following the Saturday we went to the first pumpkin patch, we came across a sweet deal to go to another. So we loaded up a picnic dinner and went to this one with some great friends of ours. It was a bit chillier this night once the sun went down, but it still was pleasant. This patch had way more things to do than pick your pumpkin. It had awesome slides that the kids loved (after realizing they weren't scary). It had old water barrels turned into cows pulled by a 4-wheeler, and a big pumpkin bounce house.

My handsome boys!

Molly and Kendall. Most of the time, inseparable

She asked me to take this picture of her and posed like this. Such a cutie

Don't be fooled, it wasn't that scary

Fos cried and cried when we pulled him out. Think we might have to get him a 4-wheeler ;)

Train Station

After the pumpkin patch, we stopped by this little train station place that some train lover has built on his property. Since we are frugal, we just looked at the cool trains instead of riding them. It was pretty neat though. This guy seriously has devoted his whole property to train tracks, train building garage, a miniature golf and small swing set. The kids loved running around here.

Sorry a little washed out, but we don't claim to be professional photographers nor professional picture editors! :)

Peek-a-Boo

Here they are "testing" the pumpkin to make sure it's a good one!
See Fos slapping it like a watermelon? Yep, it's a good one dad!
