Christmas Part V

Christmas morning.....and afternoon!

Lame Santa knew we couldn't fit the new bike in the van on the way home, so he brought the helmet and a picture of the bike!!!!

You can't tell from the picture, but Nate still has hives here.

My new ski helmet!

Night gowns from Grandma and Grandpa

Different reaction to clothes this year. She was so excited this time!

Now we can have family Nerf wars!!!

We sent Dan and Sarah and their family on a scavenger hunt to find their present from us and Chris and Amy..........

.......and this is what it was!

I love the smile on David's face.....pure happiness. Teaching moment for his grandson.

These two were good little buddies the whole vacation. Thank goodness James is so easy going!

And Grandma....reading again!!!

Christmas Part III

Sunday, we woke up and got ready for church. Nothing much better than getting into the Christmas Spirit by going to church!

Grandma and Grandpa with all but 6 of their grand kids! They look a little proud don't they!

Stumbled across these next two pictures of people "sleeping"......on the medicine ball.......

....or with a smile on your face......

Poor Nathan woke up with hives. He'd been on an antibiotic for about 6 days (for his 6th ear infection in a few months) and woke up with this......long story short, we took him to an instant care place that said we needed to take him to the ER for blood work to make sure the Augmentin wasn't still in his system causing this (because he had had reactions to penicillin before)......took him to the ER, ER doc said it was a virus and sent us home........peace of mind has some value, right? It took 3 days for it to start clearing up, he looked miserable, but Nate is such a trooper....you would have never known he was as miserable as he looked!

Christmas Part II

Time to decorate the baked and cooled sugar cookies.....with cousins. Dan, Sarah and kids flew in late the night before, but had no problem waking up normal time to start playing with cousins......and decorate and eat cookies!!!!

Fos and James

Leah, Molly and Annie

We gave Nate a hair cut right before the holidays.....I wasn't a big fan. I think he looks better with it longer!

Fos playing some music!

One of the kids' favorite activity was story time with Grandma. She read several stories throughout the course of our stay! Thanks for that special bonding time Grandma!!!

Another favorite activity was screen time on the iPads. These kids can work this better than I can!

Christmas part I

So, I've been told to wait a while and then I can start blogging again! Yay for updated storage! Getting caught up may take a few months, but here we go. We headed to Vancouver, BC the Thursday before Christmas. We left after Scott off work and stayed in Boise with my mom. It's always too short a stay with my family when we do this, but nonetheless, it was still fun to say HI, BYE!!!! Friday, we got up and hit the road. The skies were blue and roads were clear. The kids did AWESOME!!!!!!! We hit snow at Snoqualmie pass in Washington, but nothing to slow us down. We got into Canada and let the party begin!

Tradition to make sugar cookies with Grandma

Buddy followed us to Canada for Christmas and this is the treatment he gets! Poor Buddy! Glad he's a good sport!
