Princess Party

Molly and her friends were invited to a princess party, but it got rescheduled and the girls were looking so forward to it. So, I decided to have a little one here for them at the same time and same day it was supposed to originally be. We ate princess snacks, painted their toenails, and put makeup on. I think the girls had fun, I know I did! :)

Molly loves posing while dressed up! She cracks me up!

Happy Birthday Sis

My Sister, Jessica, was kind enough to invite us to her big 30th birthday party. She had it up at Westgate Resort in Park City and we got to stay up there for 3 nights and 4 days. My brother and his family from Mapleton came and my mom and niece from Boise too. We had a lot of fun, went on hikes, played in the pool, ate good food and played some games. These are only pictures from that weekend. It was so gorgeous up there with the leaves changing and all but we forgot our camera on our hike.

Nephew Trais....had a great super hero cake. He and Jess share the cake because their birthdays are 2 days apart.

Thanks Jess for letting us be apart of your birthday. Hope it was memorable for ya!

A day of Firsts

Finally getting around to blogging Molly's first day of dance and preschool. I can not believe she is old enough for a go away preschool and dance. I know I've said this before, but I can't believe how big she's getting and fast these years go by. I better start "living in the moment" and cherishing each day.

Molly and her friend Kendall, started a jazz/ballet dance class the same day she had her first day of preschool. She absolutely LOVES this dance class. She looks forward to it every Tuesday. She even comes home and shows her moves she has learned. And not to mention, she LOVES dressing up for the class. This is our girly girl!

Trip to Reno

After my trip to California, the kids and I got in the van and drove to Reno where we met Scott who flew in (with no kids ;). We stayed at Scott's brother, Dan, and Sarah's new home. We had a great time. We crammed in as much as we could in really 2 whole days. Their girls and Molly had so much fun playing together and it was a lot of fun having one on one time with Dan and Sarah. Thanks guys for letting us stay and for being great hosts!

Friday evening we went to the big Reno Rib Fest. We tried some ribs but didn't try any more to compare the two. The atmosphere was a lot of fun!

Fos wasn't too fond of the pig.

Like the big gun BBQer?

After walking around the kids wanted to play in the splash pad. It was starting to cool down pretty good, but that didn't stop them.

Saturday we got up early and headed to Lake Tahoe. I just love that place. When I lived in Lodi for 3 months, my friend and sister and her girls and I would head up there every chance we got. Amazing at how clear the water is.

We didn't even plan the color coordinating!

Sarah and I decided to get brave and go all the way to our shoulders in the freezing cold water. It actually wasn't too bad once you were in it long enough to numb ya!

The kids had a blast

Can't go on a Walton vacation without doing a Sasha pose!

This was a cool little water hole we found while hiking around the rocks. Some little kids were there catching crawdads with bacon. Who knew?

Saturday night we BBQ'd and watched the BYU football game. The girls wanted to make sure there were enough cheerleaders!

Sacramento Trip

My sister Becky was doing a triathlon at the end of August. So we made that the excuse to go visit her. We had so much fun. They really made us feel right at home and didn't let any "kid" mess bother them. Both her girls are older -- 12 and 15. We celebrated her and Foster's birthday the night we got there (August 27th) by walking to a local Mexican eatery and topping it off with delightful, rich chocolate cake. We went to Parks, watched her swim, bike and run, went on lots of walks (even though she was in recovery mode) went to Fairytale Town for Molly's birthday and shopping. We had a great time. Thanks for letting us stay for so long Bec!

Too much to Blog about

I cut out about 80 pictures trying to capture this summer. Only 2 months behind. I'm getting caught up slowly but surely! I didn't think we took that many pictures, but apparently we do. So here are just a few ;)

My sister Rachel and 4 of her kids came to visit (well the whole family eventually came later) so we went to Lagoon and to parks. It was a lot of fun. While they were here my cousin, Cassidy left for his mission so the day before he went into the MTC, we all went to temple square and took lots of pictures. Thanks for making the drive down to see us Johnson's!
While they were here, my youngest brother Don, and his wife Christina came to Utah and were sealed in the Temple. It was a beautiful occasion. They have 2 darling little girls and they can't get much cuter all dressed in white! We are so happy for them!

Fos

This park was really cool. Only bad thing is, every kid coming in from recess probably ends up going to see the school nurse!

It was a hot day so Fos was helping Cal out by cooling him down!
