Pumpkin Patch

We met Scott's sister, Amy here at this HUGE pumpkin patch. It was pretty funny when we showed up. There were probably only 20 pumpkins left in the "patch". Molly was so excited to be there and that was all that mattered.

Taking a big enough breath in to blow

Molly and her Daddy

She was pretty excited about getting to carry her own pumpkin.

Guess things are a bit picked over the day before Halloween.

So strong!

Molly and Aunt Amy. Thanks Amy for coming and participating in the holiday festivities.

Host and Hostess

My brother and his wife; Tim and Norma Jean

My sister-in-law is a famous cake maker. It's also very very tasty

This is my nephew Marcus. We celebrated his birthday which is Nov. 1.

Just another shot of the Obama's
Just a few more shots.

Niece, Madison the Witch

Our little bumble bee

Halloween

It was a bit of a drive, but we felt like we were finally close enough to go to my brother and sister-in-laws annual Halloween Party. We didn't have the costumes we really wanted, so we threw on a wig, colored our faces and said we were the Obama's in the 70's.

My sister, Rachel was bare foot and pregnant. Funny thing is.......she really is pregnant (only 17wks though)

The Johnson family; Mullet man, bare-foot and pregnant lady, and two kids in diapers.

Halloween in a Hotel

We tried to be as festive as possible in spite of our living conditions. We wanted to decorate, but didn't want to "clutter" the place. One pumpkin did the job.
Can you believe how much hair Molly is getting these days?

The knife looks a little dangerous. Thank you Hotel for supplying the great carving knife.

Molly was a little unsure about the slime inside the pumpkin. She made me do it.

The final product. Two darling pumpkins

Foster

I suppose some of you may want to see updated photos of Foster, so here ya go. We can't believe he's only 3 months. Seems like we've had him forever. He sure is smiling lots these days. He's such a happy boy and are still quite enamored by him. Thank goodness he is a good baby so I can get a few things done here and there.
Scott was getting ready to take him on a car ride so Molly and I could nap and he just started smiling. The boys needed some "boy time". Thank goodness because the girls needed some beauty sleep!

He sure is handsome, even if we have to say so ourselves.

Not quite as happy as he was in the car seat, but still adorable!

Temp Living Quarters

For 2 weeks, we checked into our "suite" at the extended stay hotel and resort. We weren't too far from the airport for a quick get-a-way if needs be. This was our temp housing before closing on our house.....(which is not put together yet so pictures are to come).

Spaghetti Dinner........we only cooked in once. The rest of the evenings were spent away so eating out was easiest. Molly and I always had breakfast and lunch there though.

We were sad to leave our conference/dining room table. This really wasn't too bad. Thank goodness we weren't there long and had other things to do.

Saying Goodbye

This is real. You're eyes aren't playing tricks on ya. We are updating our blog. Thanks everyone for being faithful in checking it and now finally seeing, we've gotten new posts. Needlessss to say, we've been a bit busy and unable to access the world wide web. Now we are back in full force. We'll try not to overwhelm everyone by posting everything in our lost time in one shot. We'll leave ya something to be excited for all week.
Let's see........so, we closed on our condo October 14, moved out the 12th and stayed with some awesome friends from then until October 23rd, when we made the drive to Utah with two cars and 2 kids. The night of the 18th, our truly missed friends threw a going away party for us. Thanks everyone for coming to support us, giving us cards, and just saying good-bye. We miss you all so much!

Me and great/best friend/ neighbor/ exercise partner, Cassidy. This is Hudson's mom for those of you who have not put the two of them together.

Debbie, Me, and Courtney. Both awesome/best friends.

Molly kissing Lindsay. We'll miss seeing Lindsay grow up.

Wonderful friends/ Sunday dinner hosts/ Hotel for the Walton's/ Hand and Foot players, James and Mindy Dean

Courtney's husband Russ and Scott

Hudson, Cassidy and Pete. That's Hudson "say cheese" face. Too cute.

Molly's best buddy, Hudson. They were like brother and sister........love/hate relationship. I so miss seeing them play/fight together and miss seeing him every morning. It was always fun to see what p.j's he picked out for himself when I would watch him in the mornings. WE MISS YOU HUDSON!!!!!!!!

Charley wasn't too happy about being in the picture. Charley, Molly and Payton. Good little pals. All born within 3 months of each other.

The Kiddo's

This is what we get when we ask Molly to stand up straight. She has her own opinion about everything.

Molly and Foster.

This is what we get when we ask Foster to smile...he's working on it.

Moving Day

The packers came on Friday, October 10. They made quick work of our place, and packed 60 boxes in just a few hours. They also went through all the boxes that we packed and re-packed some of them. We asked them if they would hire us as packers and they said we would get fired based on our glass packing skill...not so good. This picture is them re-packing our garage.

On Monday, October 13 the movers came. They showed up with an enormous truck that was way too big to get into our complex. They were lucky that our place was so close to the road. Everything we own fit into about 20% of this truck. They started loading the truck from the back, and only filled up to the open door shown in the picture.

The movers where quite impressive...a bit scary, but impressive. This little guy was a mule! He would strap a couple heavy boxes to his back and carry even more...the elders quorum could take a few lessons from these guys.

The movers did a great job protecting our stuff. Eveything was wrapped in blankets, then shrink wrapped.

MOVING

For those of you who have not yet heard, we will be moving to this wonderful city below. Salt Lake City, here we come. Our condo sold a few weeks before we found out Scott got the Utah job. We leave beautiful, wonderful AWESOME Colorado the weekend of October 25th. He starts there the 27th. But, before all this happens, we close on our condo here, October 14th. So, we'll be homeless for a short while! New baby, new house, new job and new State. Just a few noteworthy life changes! We are excited for all of them.

5.5 Weeks

Our little man is growing up so fast. Time flies when you're having fun. Foster is now 5 and 1/2 weeks old. We tried to capture some smiling photos and this is what we got.

Shirt is true, true! He's a boy through and through.....always grunting!

Here is a half smile......good dreams I suppose

This picture is great. Most kids fall asleep anywhere. Molly has fallen asleep in her high chair twice in her life (this being the second). This girl fights sleep tooth and nail, but somehow it won this time. We were watching conference while she was sitting here. She was awfully quiet, so I decided to check on her to see what HUGE mess she had made, and this is what I found. It was too precious to go unblogged!

Cute Kids

Just a few photos of some cute kids. I'm going to have to post a lot this week because who knows when I'll have our computer set up to post. We'll be sure to take pictures of our next few weeks though.

Foster is 5 weeks in this one. Can't believe how time flies. He is such a good baby. Cries when his belly is either hungry or gassy, or needs a diaper change. Other than that, he's really good. He will actually just chill in our arms without making noises.......something his sister didn't do.

Molly's hair didn't get done, as you can see, before breakfast. She loved the whipped cream. She even dipped her bacon in it.......course, she was copying Hudson.

Molly and Hudson in the train set box. If you look close, you can see Hudson's nice shiner. He's a hard playing boy that's for sure!
