Just a little tribute to Paris. I'm so glad we went. It was more amazing than I ever imagined!
Not so funny story......we had read only part of the Rick Steve's advice about keeping and throwing away your used subway tickets. We thought he said to throw away your used ones to not get them mixed up with the unused ones. Had we read a little further, we would have read that he said to throw them away, but wait until you are outside of the subway. As soon as we walked through the ticket takers Chris, Dan, and Sarah found a trash can and threw their tickets away. As we were switching trains going through the tunnels, there were subway police who took their job very serious. They were checking tickets.......!!!!!!! Because all three of them had unused ones their fine was only 25 Euro instead of 50. We tried reasoning with them saying how would they have gotten in without paying and that we were all together, but I think all they heard was blah blah blah blah blah. It reminded me of those cartoons where the human is talking to the dog and nothing is understood. After about 10 minutes of arguing, they finally paid their dues and we were on our way. We found this poster in the subway and thought it was appropriate to have them pose in front of it. Glad we can all laugh about it now!
This was a nice lunch/dessert
So FUN!!!!
