Sunday morning before church, we walked the temple grounds. This temple is very unique in it's looks but beautiful. It was fun to walk all the way around it and take pictures from every angle!
The Cardston Alberta Temple had its groundbreaking in November of 1913 and wasn't dedicated until 1923. Construction lasted 10 years due to delay from World War 1. It was the first temple built in Canada and the first temple to be built outside of the United States. It is only 1 of 3 temples without towers or spires and served as the basic pattern for the Laie Hawaii Temple, which was completed 4 years before the Cardston temple was dedicated.
